Welcome to our February Ambassador Spotlight! It’s time for you to meet Kandiss Marie Lewis–model, jet-setter, and concert-goer. Her favorite hobby is “brunching” in her hometown of LA, between photo shoots and paddle board sessions. She’s guaranteed to make you smile and will inspire you to set some new goals as well!
What got you started living a healthy/fitness lifestyle?
I have always been active in sports growing up, and with that comes training!! I enjoy working out and running. Health and fitness go hand in hand. I love to eat, but I keep my diet mostly clean at home. If I am craving a cheeseburger and fries…I will eat a cheeseburger and fries. I don’t deprive myself, but I will make up for it in the gym (sometimes) And now that my job calls me to be healthy and fit, it is my lifestyle. I enjoy eating clean and I enjoy working out, so it’s not a chore. Plus, I always feel much better after an awesome workout!!
What are some of your current fashion obsessions?
A great pair of fitted denim jeans. A sleek pair of heels. And a cool tee.
I love playing with jewelry. Whether it’s cute and simple, big and chunky, or dainty yet layered. I also like mixing metals too. Keeps it fun.
How do you set your goals?
Write that shit down and post it up where you can see it every day!! Focus on what matters and where you need to go and what you need to do to cross your goal out when achieved. FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS
What do you have way too much of in your closet?
JEANS & HEELS & BIKINIS
What is your favorite Sol and Selene bag and why?
My favorite bag is the JetSet Handbag. And, like its name, it is perfect for jet-setting (or commercial flight in economy). Either way, it’s perfect for on the go. All the pockets make it easy to carry a lot of items that can be found easily. It’s my go-to handbag.
What is your biggest challenge, and what do you do to manage this challenge?
I am an overthinker. I can make up stories in my head, and feel myself get angry or upset over that. So I have learned to take a deep breath, take a moment, meditate if I need, but also going on a long run or boxing will usually snap me back.
Do you have a saying or motto that you live your life by?
Thoughts Become Things. My Mom and I have our “TBT” thing.
Coffee or Tea? Iced or hot?
Coffee–hot and STRONG.
Where is your favorite place to travel?
I love to travel!! Though something about Mexico always sounds like a good idea. The culture, the music, the food, the beaches…and the tequila!!
What makes you laugh the most?
My friends. I have the best group of friends that anyone could ask for. They make me happy, they make me laugh, and they also put me in my spot when needed. We always have fun and can laugh for hours.
What are your hobbies?
Working out is a hobby of mine, but I also love going to concerts, beaching it with friends, and driving…driving makes me happy. 🙂 I also enjoy brunching if that counts as a hobby.
Is your glass half full or half empty?
Heck, I’m just happy to have a glass.
What was your first job?
What is one thing you could not go a day without?
Q-Tips!! I am a freak about cleaning my ears it’s a bit ridiculous.
What is your favorite food to indulge in?
Ohhhhh Hot Cheetos & a cold root beer.
What are your favorite beauty products?
Hands down, coconut oil!! This stuff is magic in a jar.

Do you have a favorite movie that you don’t get tired of watching?
Clueless. I am a 90s kid at heart and this movie is my favorite!! I have watched this so many times, and it never gets old. My closets are the way they are due to this movie. Colored coordinated and by seasons. Thanks, Cher.
What is your favorite outdoor activity?
I love paddle-boarding. It’s so fun, and yet you’re getting a great work out and a tan too.
What song are you currently obsessed with? What song would you sing at karaoke night?
Currently jamming out to Justin Timberlake’s new album. I can’t break it down to just one song. As far as karaoke, I would rather stay at home.
Do you prefer cardio or weight training?
Tough one, but I would go with cardio.
Treadmill or hike?
Now, this depends if I want to run: treadmill. But if I want to go for a walk with great views: hike
If you had one superpower what would it be and why?
To be invisible….I’ll leave it at that.
If you could meet anyone who would it be and why?
Oprah!! She has so many stories, wisdom, advice, and full of love and laughter. Just to share a moment with her would be epic.
What is the best advice for someone who is starting their fitness journey?
Just get up and go. The hardest part is getting to the gym. You will be so happy afterward. Keep grinding, keep pushing, and when you have nothing left in you…do 5 more reps.

Don’t give up. There’s a reason why you started.
What are you most thankful for?
I am most thankful for my health. I’ve seen my share of scary health issues with friends and family members, and I am so thankful I am healthy and able.
What is your favorite winter activity?
Since I live in LA we don’t really get winter weather, but it does get sort of cold…So praying for warmer days. Does that count?
What if your favorite indoor activity?
I like going to museums. Any type of museum at that. It’s so interesting, amazing, unique, quiet, and makes me appreciate the arts, history, science, music, etc. that much more. Learning is fun.
